It is very clear from the outset that the main priority of Forest Minions is the welfare of the dogs. We communicated with lots of different breeders when trying to find the newest member of our family, all of which seemed business-centric and were as much bothered about making the sale than anything else. Forest Minions were completely the opposite of that and the screening process/pre-meets are an excellent example of this. We couldn't have hoped for a more amazing 4-legged addition.

The training and socialisation that Katie and Bart give the baby minions is so helpful. I’ve had so many compliments on how well socialised my dog is and how confident he is- my trainer said it starts with the breeder and you can tell he’s come from a great breeder that has focused on socialisation (and that’s so invaluable).

As first time puppy parents to Ziggy (aka Rusty) we were so pleased to have been recommended to Bart and Katie by Peter’s family. Peter’s family sent us a photo of Ziggy and we were smitten. The vetting process helped us as Bart asked all the questions that we needed to have considered. It also demonstrated how cared for the minions are as Bart and Katie ensure that everything important has been considered. We arrived at Bart and Katie’s and we’re impressed by the calm and cleanliness of a home full of adult dogs and puppies - we couldn’t believe how clean and quiet it was. Once the puppies were let out Ziggy made a bee line straight for us as if he knew we wanted him to be part of our family. We loved the play time that we had with him and the other puppies and adult dogs. On our second visit to pick him up we felt we were taking him away from his family - lump in the throat time - but he settled quickly. His routine has been kept and we can’t believe that he goes through the night without any disturbances - a major credit to the routine that Bart and Katie set. He’s a lively puppy and has brought so much fun to the family already. Thank you Bart and Katie.

Roger (Litter R Cavapoos)

When I called Bart to enquire about a puppy I had no idea what to ask other than, is the puppy still available? Bart explained the whole process from start to finish and we arranged a day to meet 'Roger'. Everything was concluded professionally and we left with Roger, a bed, toys, puppy pads, food and lots of paperwork with detailed information in. Roger is a credit to Bart and Katie. You can really tell that they have taken the time and effort in to rearing him. He is an absolute star and so well behaved. Hes a proper little character. We have only had him a week but we haven't laughed so much in years!

Bart and Katie made us very welcome when we came to view the puppies. My children had previously been wary of dogs and they made arrangement to make them feel comfortable. Bart and Katie clearly care for the emotional and physical wellbeing of the puppies and this is born out in the fact that our puppy very quickly settled into her new home and was at ease. We were provided with a starter pack of goodies to help with the first few days - very useful thank you! Plus all the paperwork and dam/sire background information and instructions re immunisation/worming schedules etc. We would recommend Bart and Katie.

We have had the best experience with Bart and Katie, from the start they were both very welcoming when we arrived for our puppy viewing, we were very pleased with how they run things at there home it's clean and tidy you would never think it's a home of many dogs! All the dogs are very well looked after and this shows in the quality of pups they have, now we have our little dotty home with us she's settled straight away and is happy that all comes back down to how she has been brought up in a loving homely environment. Having a new dog was a big step for us and it had to be right. Bart and Katie are the best people I have ever met when it comes to keeping such a lovely group of dogs, in a spotless house. Immediately it felt like we were in safe hands. I loved meeting Petes family and I whilst it was sad to take him from his.mum....I know we will have many new adventures over years to come. He is an exceptionally well bred dog and I feel that we have been to the right breeder. There is no substitute for the experience, knowledge and love that Bart and Katie have when it comes to dogs. I began my search for a puppy by actively steering clear of breeders, instead looking for adverts from individuals. I enquired about a few puppies, but didn’t get the right feeling. I asked a local dog owner where I should look and she advised me that it was best to look for a breeder. So I started my search again. Your advert really stood out to me. I liked that fact that you mentioned on going support and that buyers would be vetted. I was very impressed from the first phone call. I had lots of questions which Bart took time to answer, with no pressure to commit to anything. The vetting form was spot on - not too burdensome to complete, but it made me think things through. I love the closed Facebook group, I’ve picked up lots of tips already and even made a new friend! And our gorgeous Peanut… well - we are head over heels in love!!! Thank you Bart and Katie, for all the effort and attention you have put into raising Peanut to be the confident little pup he is. He is settling in a treat! xx

Bart was very professional throughout the process from our initial enquiry to follow up calls after we brought Ada (Pixie) home. When we visited we were impressed with how spotless the house was, how interactive and engaging all the adult dogs and puppies were and Bart and Katie’s professional approach and obvious enjoyment of all the dogs and what they do. When we brought Ada home she settled immediately, she is a confident, super friendly pup with all the humans, dogs and cats who are part of our family and friends who have visited. She had obviously been very well socialised and allowed to build up confidence. We would definitely recommend Bart and Katie and buy from them again 😊

I’m an experienced Cockapoo owner, having had one from a puppy and a rescued one previously but it has been a few years. Friends who are dog owners recommended the Pets4homes website which I found to be a bit of a minefield. Then I found the Forest Minions advert, and wow it stood out so much, lots of details on all the health checks both mom and dad and lots of lovely photos of the puppies. Great that you have to go through a vetting process which I fully agree with. Then Bart and Katie kindled invited me to attend their home to meet the puppies. Lovely to see them in their home environment which was spotless, and I could’ve took all of them right then! They took time to discuss the puppies welfare and on the day of collection a thorough run through of looking after your puppy. Really professional breeders, who love and care for their puppies, which just shines through. Amazing experience overall, thankyou both. I’ve already recommended you to friends.

Rupert (Ulysses Litter S Cockapoos)

I was a little worried when I first called to enquire about Rupert. I had only ever rescued dogs before but having smaller children it was important to me to be able to know the background of our potential new family member. It was also very important to me that the welfare of the dog was at the forefront of everything. Bart and Katie did not disappoint. They made it clear if they didn't think I was the right person or even the right family suited to owning a dog then I would not be able go any further in the process. I liked this. I was glad to be vetted. I felt reassured by this and being able to visit their home to see Rupert and his family as much as I wanted. I was able to ask any question, see any paper work, play with rupert and other family dogs who were all very friendly. It made me feel confident these were the right breeders and that rupert was well looked after. All the dogs I met looked happy and healthy. The house was immaculate and the dogs had everything they could need. I would not hesitate to purchase another puppy in the future from Bart and Katie. We feel like Rupert has completed our family and we are very thankful to both Bart and Katie.

I would highly recommend Forest Minions. There was clear communication throughout the whole process from initial contact to collecting the puppy. I was very reassured that their vetting process was so thorough, it really showed how much they care about the welfare of their puppies and upon visiting them, it was evident that the dogs were really well looked after. There was plenty of time to ask lots of questions and they were super generous with what they provided on collection of the puppy. Being in a home environment also meant the transition when we brought Simba home was incredibly smooth and he settled in very quickly. Forest Minions are very responsible breeders, and I loved that they scheduled follow up calls to check in once Simba was home to see how he was getting on. All in all, I couldn't have wished for a better experience, and we are besotted with the new addition to our family!

We visited Bart and Katie to choose a baby sister for our other cockapoo Bonnie , I think we were one of the first to view the litter , we actually went with a completely different puppy in mind , but baby Janet stole my husbands heart , she went and snuggled up next to him and quite happily stayed there whilst we were answering Bart’s questions , Bart and Katie are very professional but also very caring and you can see they adore each and every one of the puppies and their dogs Would definitely recommend them to all of my family and friends 100% Thank you Bart , Katie and of course Goofy for our baby Janet

Nothing was too much trouble from beginning to end. From the first conversation with Bart, it was clear how passionate they were about their dogs and how much they cared. This was also evident through the tight vetting process. We wanted to ensure that we found the right puppy/ dog for us and we were guided by Katie and Bart’s opinion all the way. When we arrived at their home, we felt very welcomed and was very impressed by the whole set up. Forest minions is their life and nothing was too much and the safety and well-being of all the dogs was top priority. The dogs we saw as well as the litter were happy and well cared for. Overall purchasing a puppy from Forrest minions was a great experience. Bart and Katie are lovely and their home is extremely clean and tidy, on our visit we were introduced to a house full of minions who were all clearly happy healthy dogs. It was wonderful to see the puppies socialise and interact with the older dogs, it showed their personalities off making it clear to see which puppy was going to fit into our family. Bart went through all of the puppies documentation and answered any questions we had however silly they may have seemed, everything was covered so we could make the right decision for all parties and never was any pressure put on us to decide on the spot. We couldn’t be happier with our little minions.

My minion is now 2yrs and 2 months old, but my contact with Bart goes back over 3 years. He impressed me with his thoroughness in checking out my suitability to own one of the pups. I felt I could trust in my new pup having the best start in life. I happily waited for my little minion. The updates including videos on her were wonderful, and collecting her was a delightful experience. Since then Bart and Katie have been incredibly helpful with advice and support. I would recommend them as breeders, I believe they set the gold standard.

As others have written and noted that you could not find a more professional team of breeders in Bart and Katie. They let nothing get in the way of ensuring the safety and long term health of their pups. It is fantastic that Bart and Katie are available 24x7 for support and guidance and they are always excited to hear how the pups are developing. I suppose it is like you could purchase a mass produced vehicle e.g. Audi / BMW slightly cheaper but what customer service and reliability are you getting. Where,as if you go the route of Bentley or Rolls or Morgan then you know that for decades you will have unwavering customer support and a product that is over built and is all about reliability and longevity. Bart and Katie are dog breeders versions of Bentley.

I thought the wording of the advert on Pets4Homes gave a good idea of the kind of breeders Bart and Katie were which was what attracted me. Bart responded quickly to my enquiry and asked as many questions about us as we had for him which I found reassuring that he cared about finding the best homes for his puppies. We were at the tail end of the COVID pandemic so we had to choose our puppy over a video call and he and Katie gave us plenty of time to watch the puppies interacting with themselves and the other minions. After we had chosen they kept in touch sending photos and updates about vet visits until it was time to pick up our puppy. We had to be outside to collect but they handled it all very professionally and we saw how happy and confident all of their dogs were. They continued to keep in touch with us to check how the pup was settling in and have been available to answer any questions we have had. The Facebook pages have evolved quite a lot in the last two years and are a great way to see what happens with the minions from the various litters. I would not hesitate to recommend Bart and Katie to anyone and we would be unlikely to buy another dog from anyone else now as it would seem daft to go through trying to find a trustworthy breeder when we already know one.

The first phone call was a conversation with Bart. Bart was very informative about the vetting procedure and he also got a feel for what I was like as a potential owner. I was interested in the last male puppy that was available and a viewing was arranged. Bart and Katie were very accommodating, both my mother and two young children went along (it was during covid so an outdoor viewing and puppy cuddles were included 😁) and I literally could have stayed all day chatting. Lots of happy dogs and puppies running around in a clean home environment. Collection day came and I actually felt sad I was taking pup away from them 🙈. I received a puppy pack which included paperwork, food, a bed, toys and a blanket with mums and pups scent on. I kept Bart and Katie updated on pups progress and any questions I needed to ask were swiftly answered. The aftercare gives peace of mind. I love that there is a Facebook group where other minion owners can share picture and updates of their pups, ask questions etc. Its lovely to see how my pups siblings and new litters are doing. If I ever wanted another puppy, Forest Minions would be my first port of call. I would 100% recommend Forest Minions to anyone serious about buying a puppy. Thank you Bart and Katie x

As first time owners looking to bring a puppy into our family, we couldn’t of got more lucky than our experience with Bart and Katie. From the get go they were incredibly friendly and reassuring with any questions we had. The process, while in depth, showed us just how much both Bart and Katie cared for the dogs and wanted them to go to good homes. Pick up day was incredibly smooth and it was so good to see the puppies playing together and just how friendly all of the bigger minions were. Our girl is now almost 2 and we have still kept in contact with Bart and Katie, even recommending them to other friends and family members, one of which now has their own minion!

From the moment I got in touch, Bart was friendly and informative. The vetting process was thorough and the fact they are registered with the council sealed the deal for me! I waited for an upcoming litter to get a boy - and am sure I got the best one 😊 I came from Scotland to pick him up during COVID-19. Bart and Katie ensured a clean and compliant environment. I was able to meet my little boy's mum & dad (both were so sweet) as well as his siblings and the other house pups. It was a great experience! Their after care was amazing too! From staying in touch to make sure we made it home safely, to offering any help we'd need to get everyone settled (I already had 2 other dogs). The closed Facebook group is a really amazing extra, allowing us to stay in touch with other Minion owners, posting pics of our cute pups, sharing our experiences, and asking for advice. Beginning to end, Forest Minions is a brilliant breeder, who I can't recommend highly enough!

I was very nervous about enquiring about a minion. It’s a very big decision getting a new puppy and not something that should be rushed. I was super inspired with confidence from my very first contact with Bart. I was expecting vetting as it was explained in the advertisement. However this was very thorough while remaining friendly. I was reassured at every step that’s Bart and Katie were responsible breeders which was the most important to me. On arriving at the house the first thing I noticed was the calm atmosphere, if I’m honest with all the minions I may have been expecting maybe a little “doggy” smell but it was pristine. Even if I wasn’t calm the house was. The dogs were all wandering around interacting with each other this made seeing kiki reactions with the other minions a real time positive experience. We originally went to view another minion but with these real time interactions it was soon apparent that kiki was the one for us. Bart and Katie put us at ease immediately and the conversation flowed naturally while playing with all of the minions. Anxious by nature I had lots of questions and these were all answered and I was never made to feel I was asking silly questions. They let us take all the time we needed and we never felt pressure to make a decision. Having found the perfect fit for us time to get prepared for the homecoming. On on second visit again we were welcomed and put at ease. Kiki came with all she needed and more. The first few day I felt confident in contacting them both for any of my concerns. Again they both reassured me. I love the private Facebook group and seeing all the minions and the updates. I have recommended them to friends and if the time comes to expand our family I will only be using Bart and Katie.

There’s no hiding the fact that the process isn’t easy and at times it did feel like a GCSE Exam. However, we would buy a puppy from Forest Minions every time because of their organisation, attention to detail and thoroughness. Bart & Katie are excellent and ethical home breeders; we knew we were in safe hands upon arrival. The puppy room was very clean and tidy, pups were allowed to roam and play with Bart & Katie’s other pups too, which is great for their social skills. All dogs were well kept, groomed and clean. Our little pup is nearly ONE year old now and coming along nicely. She’s on the small side [takes after her teacup Father] but very healthy and intelligent. She loves life and has built such strong bonds with all members of our household; we already know that her and our 2 y/o Daughter are going to be best friends. Bart & Katie are lovely people to communicate with and you wouldn’t go far wrong, entrusting them to bring you and your family a confident, healthy and beautiful little puppy dog.

I felt confident from the first reply that Bart and Katie really cared about the puppies and the homes that they were going to. Bart answered all my questions quickly and in great detail. They then did a lengthy video call so that we could see all the dogs and especially Kevin, the puppy that we had chosen. It was lovely meeting them both. All the dogs were there to greet us and you could tell that they were well cared for. Bart and Katie made us feel really welcome and gave us plenty of time to play with all the pups. They then took time to explain all the paperwork. Kevin has been just a joyous puppy. He is such a sociable little boy and is loved by all who meet him.

Bart and Katie are so very kind and supportive, even to this day which it years on from adopting my minion. Their clearly ethical approach is to be applauded and I wish other breeders would adopt this approach also.

As we already had three dogs, one of whom was very elderly, I spent a lot of time getting to know the Minions having gone through the vetting process and joining the closed Facebook group, this gave me the reassurance that Forrest Minions were indeed an ethical breeder. A few months after our dear dog passed away at the grand age of 18, we finally met Bart and Katie to view a litter of Biewer Yorkie pups. The experience was everything that we expected it to be, the house was calm and clean, the dogs obviously very happy and loved. We were under no pressure at all to make a decision, Bart and Katie were only concerned that it was the right time for us with the right puppy. We brought Frodo (Vito) home when he was 10 weeks old and he has fitted right into our family - it feels like he has always been here!
